School feeding programme reaches 52,000 ECDE learners

Kiambu's ECDE enrolment stood at just 32,000 learners in 2022 despite the county's population of about three million. In 2023, Governor Kimani Wamatangi launched a comprehensive feeding programme that now serves 52,000 ECDE learners, helping drive enrolment up as parents move children from private academies into public centres.
