Free Kienyeji chicks empowering 200,000+ women in poultry farming

Kiambu County has distributed more than 700,000 improved Kienyeji chicks to over 200,000 women across all 60 wards, turning traditional backyard poultry into commercial enterprises. Every beneficiary receives training on housing, feeding and disease management as part of the economic empowerment programme.
